This article will show you how to add a miscellaneous damage on the mobile app.
Adding Miscellaneous Damage
Miscellaneous damage is damage which is not a fundamental component associated with a Frame or Beam Component Type. For instance for a Frame Component Type you might have baseplate, horizontal or diagonal bracing, upright etc, etc.
Miscellaneous damage might be something like rack end protection, upright protectors, anti collapse mesh, or mesh decks etc etc.
The Add Miscellaneous Damage screen is similar to that of the Add Damage screen but the fields aren’t pre populated with data depending on what you select on the field above. You are able to type into all fields except for the Location field and Level field. (When you have selected a Beam Type component)
Firstly you will need to select the damage Risk by tapping on the slider and dragging it to the right choosing either Green, Amber or Red. You will then need to select the Rack Component Type, Frame or Beam by clicking on the radio button below the slider. After you have done that you will then select a Location of the damage from the dropdown field.
It is optional whether you want to add a Customer ID. The Customer ID might be a number identification of a beam level used for a pallet location.
Instead of selecting a component from the component dropdown like you would do on the Add Damage screen, tap on the component field which is an AutoComplete search field, and multiple suggestions of what the miscellaneous component type might be will be displayed. You can either start typing into the field or you can select one of the suggested components by scrolling down and selecting the name. Depending on what you type into the field, the number of suggestions may reduce or may disappear altogether.
The below screenshot shows the suggestion list when you first tap onto the component field.
The below screenshot shows what the suggestion will look like when you type “CL” into the field and you can see it has removed some of the suggestions from the list.
If you make an error on what you have selected from the suggestion field or what you have typed into the field, you are able to remove the text by simply tapping on the “X” at the far right of the field and this will remove the text completely.
Work your way down and be sure to fill in all the fields. The last field you need to fill in is the Component Spec field. This field allows you to add the specification of the added Miscellaneous Component and will be displayed on the Bill of Materials List in the Inspection report if it was added as an Amber or Red Risk. For instance, if you added Closed Board Timber Deck on the Component field just below the Customer ID field, you would want to add in the thickness and size of the closed boarded timber deck which might be something like - 32mm x 2680mm x 1100mm deep, baton offset 50mm.
The Add Damage button will be grey until all required fields have been filled in except for the Customer ID field which is optional. Once this is done, the button will turn blue and active and you can tap to add damage. |
