How to carry out an action

This article will show you how to complete an action and will detail how to close out a repair.

To start an action, tap on the action card and a pop up will appear,  tap on the Start Action button and you will be taken to the Action Details screen.

Action Details Screen

This screen allows you to choose which warehouse and area you would like to start and close out your repairs. Tap on the radio buttons to the left of an area which will filter where you start the action from.

To the right of the warehouse and areas, you will see the number of repairs that are required for the given warehouse and subsequent area. Tap on the Carry Out Action button and you will be taken to the Action screen.

Action Screen

The action screen is similar to the inspection screen, however you will only see racks which require repairs to be carried out on them with all other racks which do not require repairs filtered out.

The Repair Header will show the number of repairs required for that specific rack.

Areas and racks are ordered alphabetically in the screens heading. Tap on the warehouse or area dropdown and select the name of the warehouse or area you want to view.

Closing out a Repair

When a repair is carried out and the damaged component replaced, close out the repair by tapping on the grey To Do button on the damage classification card. A pop up will appear and you will be able to set the repair to Repair Done or Can’t Do Repair. Tap on Repair Done and the grey To Do button will turn the colour of the repairs risk and the text will change to Done

After closing out the repair, the number on the Repair Header will be updated as per below screenshot. When all the repairs are closed out for that rack, a yellow progress bar underneath the rack name will appear to indicate that all repairs for that rack have been closed out. There is a warehouse progress bar located at the bottom of the Action Screen and the bar will start to fill up when the repairs are closed out.

If you made an error when closing out a repair, simply tap on the Done button and a pop up will appear and then tap on To Do and this will set the repair back to unresolved "To Do".

Can't Do Repair

From time to time you might not be able to close out a repair. For instance, if the replacement component was damaged in transit. If this happens, tap on the grey To Do button on the damage classification and this time, select Can’t Do repair and a pop up will appear. Type into the field the reason why you are unable to close out the repair and then tap on the blue tick.

The damage classification card will be updated and the text in the grey button will change to Can’t Do. If you made an error when describing the reason why you were unable to close out the repair, tap on Evidence below the damage classification and the pop up will appear and you will be able to edit the reason why you were unable to close out the repair. Also, by tapping on the grey Can’t Do button a pop up will appear and you are able to set the repair to Done or To Do.

Complete Action

When you have all your repairs set to either Done or Can’t Do in all warehouses and areas, you will see a yellow tick beside the warehouse and area name and the tick button at the top corner of the screen will turn from grey to yellow. The colour change on the tick button from grey to yellow indicates that you are now able to sign off and complete your action.

Tapping on the Yellow Tick button will take you back to the action details screen where it will give you the option to continue the action or complete the action. Tap the yellow Complete Action button to complete the action.

Digital Signature

After completing the action you will be taken to the action sign off screen. Write your signature in the box using your finger or stylus. If you make a mistake, tap the Clear button and start again.

Click the Mark as Complete button when you are happy with your signature and you will be taken back to the action list.
